More hot off the press news- Pachanga closed? And yet another brand new restaurant close by?

Pachanga Restaurant gone for good?

Its all going on with Marlow’s restaurant scene.  Posted in the window of Pachanga Mexican restaurant yesterday was a notice from the bailiffs in effect reclaiming the premises. I would imagine that means the end of things for Marlow’s only Mexican restaurant. Shame if that’s the case – we have had a number of enjoyable evenings there!

And yet another possible brand new restaurant location!?

And just along the road….. we saw a For Sale sign on the building at 52 West St across from Platts Garage. The sign also stated “Planning for 60 seat restaurant“. Specifically they have planning permission for “Change of use from residential to A3 (Restaurant) with first floor side extension”.  Architects plans can be seen online here, which shows kitchens in the basement and seating on ground and first floor.

So, given that Pachangas downfall must have been caused by financial difficulties, who will be brave enough to take on a brand new venture in Marlows crowded food and drink sector?  Watch this space….

A new restaurant location opposite Platts garage?

  1. I am actually gutted – this was the best Mexican I’d ever had. The olives were to die for 🙁 what a shame.

  2. I am gutted too, the place was great. Food brilliant, although in my opinion the waiter did it! After he asked what kind of steak did we want, chicken or ? Lol :))))

  3. Dave and I have eaten at Pachangas for over 9 years and could never fault the food or Carlos’s service. He became a good friend and always welcomed us as such. We will miss Carlos and Pachanga’s immensely.

He’s a lovely chap, and a fantastic host, so wishing him the best of luck ! We’ll be along to the grand opening 🙂
