Sputnik – closing in Marlow

| |

Sputnik Snow and Skate shop in Marlow has closed after 12 years of trading – a long time compared to many businesses which come and go.

The shop had a great reputation with boarders and skaters far and wide, and a popular online shop. They also organised an annual “Go Skateboarding Dayin town, which was free and just encouraged local skaters to get together for the day.

Shop owner Anna Smyth told MyMarlow: “It is a with a sad heart that we have to move but I know it is the best decision for the business going forward. We have been finding parking in Marlow for our customers becoming more and more difficult, and with being such a destination store this was starting to have a negative impact on the business. We are now merging with our sister store Ski Bartlett in Hillingdon which will hopefully give us more space and solve the the parking issue. They are a ski business which has been there for 55 years so i think we can be a good addition to their offering.”

See below for details of the new shop. Wishing Anna and Sputnik all the best for the future, you’ve given us something different in town, and we are sorry to see you go!
