Kerridge’s Bar & Grill opens in London today

| |

Today (Mon 10th Sep 2018) sees the opening of Tom Kerridge’s new restaurant… his first outside Marlow, and it is located in the swanky Corinthia Hotel London.

Head chef is Nick Beardshaw, pictured above, who will be familiar to many who have dined at Tom’s restaurants in Marlow. Nick was at the two Michelin-starred Hand and Flowers, and then moved to be head chef at The Coach when it opened, which later secured its own Michelin star.

It will be no surprise that the new restaurant will feature a menu drawing on the success of the Marlow restaurants, and like The Coach – a rotisserie will take centre stage for cooking much of the meat, which is being supplied by The Butcher’s Tap in Marlow. Example menu items include “Dry aged rib of beef from the Butcher’s Tap with ox cheek bordelaise, gherkin ketchup and triple-cooked chips”, and “”Kerridge’s fish and chips with pease pudding, tartare and Matson spiced sauce”.  Lucky London beer fans will get a choice of Marlow’s own Rebellion Brewery IPA, monthly special or lager.

The setting is a relaxed brasserie-style dining room, featuring many artworks including sculptures by Tom’s wife Beth.

A Private Dining Room will accommodate 18 people. Guests can enjoy an exclusive dining experience whilst watching chefs prepare and cook dishes in front of them at a kitchen space within the wood-panelled dining room.

The doors feature a graphic, in gold leaf, showing a map of the Thames between Marlow and London… as Tom can be seen excitedly following in this video 🙂
