Free Giant Screening of Offenbach’s Opera Vert-Vert

Garsington Opera’s production of the enchanting and hilarious opera Vert-Vert by Offenbach will be screened in the Regatta Enclosure at 7.30pm and admission is free.

With echoes of an operatic Monty Python, the zany plot opens with the funeral of a pet parrot in a French Convent school. The distraught girls transfer their affections to an innocent young man who, as the plot unfolds, becomes less and less innocent! The music of this delightful comic opera fizzes with energy, all performed by an acclaimed international cast.

Sung in English, it is the perfect entertainment for a summer’s evening with the family that you cannot miss and will be singing for weeks after.
Licensed bar and food stalls available.
