gin partyThe parent company of Marlow’s Botanist pub, The New World Trading Company is attempting to attain a GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS ™ title for the largest gin tasting to be held over 9 of its sites across the country – and you can take part.

The event from 6pm on Thursday 11th February will see 100 people in each location sample 3 gins from sponsors including Tanqueray 10, Whitley Neill and Caorunn. Tonic brand Fever Tree is also supporting the attempt.

Following the tasting, Marlow’s Botanist will join the other venues in throwing a huge gin party to celebrate the attempt where the lucky attendees will enjoy gin cocktails, live music, nibbles and of course the gin tastings.

The Botanist are giving away a limited number of free tickets to take part in the attempt, and if you wish – to stay for the gin party. You don’t have to stay of course – the record attempt will finish by 6.30pm – so it’s fine if you just want to say you were “part of the record breaking team”.

Chris Hill, NWTC Managing Director said: “We’ve already broken Guinness World Records title for ale tastings and for the largest collection of rums commercially available, so with the recent addition of our ‘perfect serve’ gins to our menus we only felt it right to follow this up with a gin-themed world record attempt. We’re all incredibly excited at the opportunity to run this across 9 of our sites simultaneously and are thrilled customers can be a part of it with us.”

  1. I feel it is important that I assist in drinking all the gin, and I have several friends who will testify to this.
