 | The Claytons (website) 16 Oxford Road, 01628 478774 Our pub review: Reopnened in mid 2011 by a team with real passion and drive to make something of the place. A relaxed ambience, nicely refurbished, and the garden in particular is much better than it has been in recent incarnations of the pub. Its not a real ale type of place, but has decent lagers, good selection of other drinks and proper cocktails. Occasionally they have DJs and other events at the weekends. The food offering is based around mid-sized portions ideal for a snack or buy a few to share. Homemade and delicious, and the scotch egg warrant special mention - nothing like the cold stodgy thing you get from Asda! They are open in the daytime for coffee etc. In their own words:We are open Mon to Thu 9:30am-11pm,Fri 9:30am-1am, Sat 11am-1am, Sun 11am-10:30pm. Serving Coffee, Tea & Cakes 7 days a week. Our food menu is simple but tasty and is also available 7 days a week from Midday. We have Baby change facilities and we are child friendly in the day all week. |

Amazing place and a definite must see when in Marlow! Lovely interior, beautiful garden and the staff are really friendly and warm. The music s great and they serve some amazing cocktails. I was impressed by their selection of rums...my favourite tipple. And they have cakes too! The chocolate brownie and ice cream is delicious. I couldn't recommend it enough. Rating:

I went to Clayton's last Saturday for a friend's birthday and we had such a good night! I haven't been there since it was reopened and just really liked the atmosphere and funky music. Could well become my new regular haunt! We were too late to eat but the menu does look good so might try and get there a bit earlier next time to sample the scotch egg, mmm :) Rating:

I visited Claytons for a couple of drinks and a light bite. The decor and atmosphere is great and there is a great choice of drinks. I'll definitely be back for another scotch egg and chips, but will make a night of it next time to enjoy the cocktail menu fully. Rating:

Went there for my friends b'day a couple of weeks ago. Love what they have done to the place and was very impressed with the cocktails and how quickly, yet perfectly they were made, ie. not keeping you at the bar waiting for ages. Friendly staff and great music Rating:

Claytons in Marlow, an great place to meet with friends, listen to great music and some fantastic cocktails. It has recently been refurbished and I must say it looks great, the bar now seems larger with both indoor and outdoor areas with food and drink served through out the day it offers a good selection for all. I celebrated my birthday there with friends and the owners kindly gave me an exclusive area which was great. Rating:

Claytons in Marlow is the place to be now! I went there for August Bank Holiday Sunday and had the best night. The carnival theme with steel drums, BBQ and rum punch in pineapples were a great touch and definitely got me in the mood, even when it rained! All the staff there are very friendly, the music is great, the cocktails are tasty, the garden is gorgeous and the atmosphere is perfect, everyone had such a good time! This place is going to be my new local and Im even going to have my birthday celebrations there definitely recommend the place! Rating:

We went last Saturday to check out the new place, we hadnt been since it had been closed and we had a great night DJ was playing some good music and there was a really nice atmosphere in there. Mojitos were awesome! Rating:

The new owners have made a lot of effort to make Claytons much more appealing and welcoming to women, providing a great place to meet friends during the day for coffee and cake or a fun night out with great music, food, decor and atmosphere. Look out for the live band evenings too! Rating:

This pub is now completely refurbished and reopened and is definitely the place to go. We have had a couple of lovely evenings there - the decor, ambience, staff and food is excellent for a relaxed evening out. Rating:
