In fact, the service is unsurpassed, with waiting staff seemingly on permanent standby to attend your needs. The building itself is impressive, and so are the gardens leading to views across the Thames - providing an ideal spot for aperitifs. No problems with delivery of drinks, either! Also a great location for Afternoon Tea. |

Voted one of the Small Luxury Hotels of the World, this place is a gem! Impressive and grand, beautiful gardens, oldy woldy rooms and a incredibly rich history, Marlow is lucky to have Danesfield House on its doorstep. I took my 88 year old Granny there for high tea in their beautiful orangery room, and it was not only delicious but very reasonably priced and we were made to feel like royalty. Go for afternoon tea, demand your partner take you for a special dinner, or treat yourself to a pampering treatment in their excellent spa - can't recommend this place enough. Rating:
