 | Maliks (website) 101 High Street, 01628 482180 Our food review: A quite upmarket Indian Restaurant, which also does take-away. Service has been friendly on our visits, and when turning up for take-aways. The food is as good as any other Indian food on offer in Marlow, although different in style. Amongst my friends there is disagreement over which is the best - so it just comes down to personal taste. I've not been disappointed with any meal in any of Marlow's Indian restauants! |

My wife and I visited for lunch on 5 January 2011. We were in early and it was very quiet, no doubt due to the time and season. The staff were suitably attentive without being on top of us. The starter, Marechi Paneer, was glorious - whenever I have eaten at Maliks I try to have that to start with as it is a thing of wonder. We then shared a Murgh Korai and Sag Aloo, with Pulao Rice and a Plain Naan. The rice was lovely and fragrant. My wife is very sensitive to hot food, so the Murgh and Sag were excellent for her - just full of flavour, and lovely big chunks of fresh, tender chicken breast.. Malik's is undoubtedly the best in the area, by a significant margin. Rating:

I've only taken away from Maliks, so cannot comment on the service, but each and every time the food has been absolutely fantastic. I thought the Tiger Cub was good until I tried here. Rating:

Maliks in Marlow is the latest in a (small) string of very high quality Indian Restaurants around the area. Our visit on its second day of opening confirmed our belief in Maliks' excellent reputation for its food; however, the service in what was a VERY busy evening was extremely slow and they had crammed a lot of tables into what is a fairly small 2-floor space. To ensure that it keeps its well-deserved reputation as a high-quality chain of Indian restaurants it needs to address this service issue immediately. Rating:
