Marlow Bottom’s 1st Annual Scarecrow Festival

Friends of Burford, on behalf of Burford School, are delighted to announce Marlow Bottom’s First Annual Scarecrow Festival.

We are challenging the residents and businesses of Marlow Bottom to come up with their funniest and most creative scarecrows using everyday items you already have available. Your scarecrow can be any shape or size as long as it is not offensive or gruesome and can be visibly displayed at the front of your own property from the start of the trail on 24th October to the end on 1st November.

How to Enter

To register for entry please send an email with your name and address to  All entries submitted by  9th Oct will be included on the official Scarecrow trail map, copies of which will be made available by email or from Tin Town Coffee and The Barn Club at a cost of £2 per map.  You can still register after the 9th though, but will not appear on the map.

If you aren’t in Marlow Bottom you can still join in the fun by taking part in our virtual festival, once registered upload your scarecrow pics to here


The Trail

When completing the trail, please adhere to the current government guidelines at the time the trail is taking place. We will keep our Facebook page up to date with the published guidelines.

Fundraising for Burford School

We are inviting all those who are participating by displaying a scarecrow to donate towards our charity for Burford School. Friends of Burford will donate 100% of the funds raised to the school to be put towards funding school projects and school improvements.
