Marlow’s Ceremony of Remembrance

The High Street will be closed to traffic from 08.00am until 12.00pm, with no parking on the High Street down to the bridge, which will also be closed, together with The Causeway.
Please note that if you park your car overnight on the Saturday you need to remove it before 08.00am on Sunday or you may be towed away by police.

This year’s Ceremony of Remembrance, organised by Marlow Town Council and the Marlow Royal British Legion, will be held on Remembrance Sunday, 12th November on The Causeway.
The Parade, comprising members of the armed forces, veterans, Royal British Legion, cadets, local organisations, Brownies, Guides and Scouts, will start from the Royal British Legion Headquarters at approximately 10.35am. Led by the Scots Guards Association Pipe Band, it will arrive at the War Memorial on the Causeway at 10.45am. The service starts at 10.50am and is led by Rev Canon Dave Bull from All Saints’ Church.
Deputy Lieutenant Lt Col Simon Wilkinson TD will be leading the wreath-laying and after the Service will be taking the Salute from the podium near the gold post box.
Marlow Mayor, Cllr David Brown, will be joined by the representatives from Marly-le-Roi, while nearby parishes and organisations around the town will be laying their wreaths. “I am delighted to be leading the town’s Remembrance event for the first time,” he said. “I hope many residents will be able to join us around the Memorial on The Causeway for this poignant occasion.”
After the Service, the Parade will march up the High Street, around the obelisk and back down to the Royal British Legion HQ in Station Approach.
