Marlow’s Remembrance Service and Parade

Marlow’s Remembrance Service and Parade will be held on Sunday, November 10th, 2019.
10.20am/10.30am approx The Parade will leave the Royal British Legion Headquarters and march to the Memorial at the Causeway
10:45am The Service will commence at the War Memorial on the Causeway
The Service will be led by Reverend Dave Bull of All Saints’ Church, assisted by Reverend Roland Slade of All Saints’ Marlow and Anthea Wratten of River Church.
Mayor Richard Scott will be laying a wreath on behalf of the people of Marlow. Mr Benoit Burguad, Deputy Mayor from our Twinned Town of Marly-le-Roi will be laying a wreath on behalf of the people of Marly-le-Roi, together with representatives from Bucks County Council and Wycombe District Council. Organisations within Marlow will also be laying their wreaths.
Marlow Town Band will be providing the musical content and the All Saint’s Choir will be in attendance.
After the service: The Parade will march up the High Street, around the Obelisk and return back to the Royal British Legion in Station Road. The Lord Lieutenant of Buckinghamshire, Sir Henry Aubrey-Fletcher will be taking the Salute after the Service outside Jigsaws on the High Street.
IMPORTANT! The following road closures will be in place:
High Street, The Causeway and the Bridge will be closed to traffic and no parking from 08.00am until approximately 12.15pm
There will be no access from Institute Road, Station Road or Pound Lane during this period.
*Any cars left parked on the High Street will be removed*
