Marlow Town Mayor, David Brown, is inviting all residents to join him at his annual Civic Celebration at All Saints’ Church on The Causeway on Sunday, 23rd March at 3.00pm.
The event aims to bring together the people of Marlow to celebrate the community spirit that exists within the town. The Mayor will present a Lifetime Achievement Award to residents who have made an outstanding contribution to Marlow and its community. Shaun Murphy and his wife Barbara were the very worthy recipients of the award in 2024 for their work for the Royal British Legion’s poppy appeal and Remembrance Day Service and Parade.
“The Civic Celebration is a highlight for the Town Council and one that I am truly honoured to be part of,” Mayor Brown said. “The event gives us the opportunity to celebrate the residents who make our town such a welcoming place. It’s a privilege to be able to recognise a local resident who has been nominated for making a lasting, positive impact on our community.”
Marlow Age Concern and Lighthouse Marlow will be speaking about their organisations and Sir William Borlase’s Grammar School Chapel Choir will be singing. A short service of thanks will be included.
