“FOOTLOOSE” – based on the movie of the same name with the screenplay by Dean Pritchard and music by Tom Snow – will be performed by the dynamic young cast of the Marlow Amateur Operatic Society from 16th to 19 March 2011 at the Shelley Theatre, Pound Lane, Marlow from 7.30 p.m. each evening.
The Production Team consists of Mark Bolkonsky as the Show Director, Dan Szelazek the Musical Director and Samantha Dixon as the choreographer.
“FOOTLOOSE” is the story of a young man from the city living in a puritanical small town where dancing and rock and roll are forbidden.
Life in the small town of Bomont is peaceful until city boy, Ren – played by Lawrence Gillman, arrives breaking every taboo. He brings dance back to the heart of the town held back by the memory, of a tragedy.
“FOOTLOOSE” has become a stage musical phenomenon from Broadway to the West End and there is no stopping the music. The music in “Footloose” has a very 80’s pop appeal and the show is packed full of electrifying dance routines – guaranteed to get to your feet,
