Coping with the long Easter Holidays

| | ,

With the Easter School holidays upon us – here are a few reminders of local places of interest where you can keep the children occupied!

Remember that in addition to these highlighted, our website has a much longer list of suggested day trips from Marlow.

(c) National TrustCliveden

This nearby National Trust Property has much to occupy adult visitors, but they also make special effort to cater for younger visitors too.

The newest addition is the Cliveden Maze, which opened in the last week. It has taken two years to create, and uses  1,100 12-year-old yew trees! It is same size as the world-famous Hampton Court maze, and is based on and located in the same place as the original version built for Lord Astor in 1894 but which ceased to be maintained since the mid-1900s.

Nearby is the Sculpture Playground – a new, imaginative and fun area for younger children, as well as the wider grounds being a fun place to run around.

Cliveden’s also runs riverboat cruises run on Thursdays, Saturdays and Sundays during the spring and summer.
