Marlow Rowing Club has big win at Maidenhead Regatta

| |

Just two weeks after a devastating fire, Marlow Rowing Club has won the 2 major prizes at Maidenhead Regatta

Maidenhead Rowing Club were kind enough to lend a number of boats to Marlow  – without which some of the crews would have been unable to race. So, only two weeks after the fire that destroyed part the Club crews were out racing and winning in style.

Going into the final race of  the regatta Marlow had already secured 9 wins , meaning that MRC were already level on points (26:26) with Maidenhead – and thus had secured the Victor Ludorum award (given to the visiting club with the most wins).

That last race was Marlow v Maidenhead in J14 doubles which Marlow (Alex Haynes, Fraser Russell) won, resulting in Marlow being the most successful crew overall with 28 points! Well done to all concerned.
