I have been known to occasionally leave Marlow, and sometimes even to venture as far as Henley (for the Henley Festival at least). It looks like it will be worth making the journey again in April, with event for lovers of film and food coming up – The Henley International Film Festival.
Visitors will see cinema in innovative ways including a nightly water wall projection, indoor cinema dome, mobile vintage cinema, and then there will also be a food-hall, exhibition stands, food demonstrations, activities and special activity based kids zone and kids cinema.
The film selection will include: Breakfast at Tiffanys – Delicatessen -What’s Eating Gilbert Grape – Fried Green Tomatoes – Babette’s Feast, and many more.
HIFF will be showcasing the best in UK’s street-food, which is seeing something of a revolution of late – a diverse range of food being served out of trailers, carts and vintage vans.
Venue is Mill Meadow, Henley on Thames.
The Festival is open from 11am – 10pm each day from the 27-29th April 2012.
