Sir William Borlase – Heritage Day, Sun 9th Sep

| | ,

Sir William Borlase’s will be open to the public on Sunday 9th September 2012: National Heritage Day. The purpose of National Heritage Day is to open buildings of historical interest that are not normally accessible to the public.

It promises to be a fantastic day. Entry is free and there will be an exhibition on the history of the School in the hall. Students will be available to take guided tours and explain the importance of historical parts of the School, such as the Skirmisher memorial. The Chapel will be open and refreshments will be available.

A barbecue, hog roast, crepes, and cakes will be on sale, so please join us to celebrate the history of the School.

Additionally, the Marlow Society History Group is organising self-guided tours of historical sites of interest along West Street. The route starts at the School gates.
