Danesfield Dash 10k & Children’s Race 2017

On 30th April 2017 at 10am, Danesfield School PTA is again hosting the Danesfield Dash 10k & 1km Children’s Race to raise money for Danesfield School. Entry fees along with sponsorship from Huntswood, SAS, Runners’ Retreat and Purple Patch Running will go towards improving the facilities for approximately 600 children.

This popular event takes runners through the bluebell covered woodland trails and countryside lanes of the scenic Chilterns. The hills make the route even more interesting and give an enormous sense of achievement when you cross the finish line to be greeted with your medal!

To celebrate their fifth year, thanks to the local Portuguese shop in Marlow (Exquisite), they will have a bottle of bubbly to accompany the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place male/ female trophies.

There will be a child-friendly start/finish area with great facilities and refreshments, and the popular Children’s 1km race will start once the main race has gone off, making it an all-round family affair.

Chris Wharton, Race Director, said “Although it may not feel it, spring is here and we are preparing to welcome previous runners and hopefully a number of new runners to the Danesfield Dash. I’m proud that this has become a popular annual event that attracts people both locally and from the wider area.”
