Exciting new collaboration between Marlow FM and Marlow Town Regatta

marlow fm and town regattaMarlow FM’s ‘Up Next’ is a new platform to discover talented local solo artists and bands, showcasing them across Marlow FM’s on-air and online presence.  As part of the launch, Marlow FM are teaming up with Marlow Town Regatta – so that selected acts will perform to Regatta revellers on the same stage as headline act Toploader on Saturday 16th June, 2018.

Marlow FM listeners will be invited to vote for the applying artists, and the Top 3 will each receiving a unique prize and a coveted spot within the line-up for Saturday afternoon festivities. They’ll be joining already announced acts including Interkoola and 3 Minute Rockstar to take Marlow into the evening and beyond. Entry is open to anyone – whether just starting out, or been gigging for a number of years.

Marlow FM is curating this year’s Main Stage and promises to keep the soundtrack to the rowing event flowing all day long!

Marlow FM will continue this initiative after the Regatta too. Each month, one ‘Up Next’ artist will be chosen and receive a deep-dive interview, extensive radio play across all shows and chances to perform at affiliated Marlow FM events.

something new for Marlow FM’ said Jordan-Lee Pirrie, Producer of Up Next, ‘and what
better way to celebrate everything Marlow than with local bands on a local stage. We want to show off the awesome homegrown talent we’ve got to the world.’

To apply, artists and bands need to visit www.upnext.marlowfm.co.uk. The team will then be in touch with shortlisted acts for the next stages.
