The two sides both play in the Thames Valley Premier League and have previous meetings between the sides suggested it would be an action-packed game.

The Flying Blues had the better of the first half, creating chances for the likes of Felix Prudden and Chris Hurst early on – but it was Liam Bushay who had the best of the lot.

Josh Fox’s cross finding him at the back post, but the forward could only hit the bar with his volley as Hurst could not make contact with the loose ball.

Marlow were made to rue that chance as Mortimer hit them on the break and Matthew fox was on hand to tuck the ball home.

The score stayed at 1-0 until the early in the second half when Marlow fashioned a brilliant equaliser. Alan Mckie found himself on the wing after a half cleared free-kick and his ball across goal was met by the prolific Hurst, smashing the ball into the roof of the net.

The game remained tight until the final minutes when up stepped Qwam Thomas with the winner.
