Wild Marlow’s Photo Competition and Exhibition

| |

The judges in Wild Marlow’s Photo Competition, launched last November, have this week made their decision. The winners are:

Sunset Fox’ by Paris Losasso – Adult category and overall winner
‘Green Stops’ by Kitty Hayward (15) – Senior School category
‘Mute Swans of Marlow’ by Jacob Walker (7) – Junior School category

The three winning photos will be featured in the 2021 Wild Marlow Calendar, on sale soon.

The aim of the contest was to stimulate interest in and appreciation of the wildlife and habitats of the Marlow area.

“There was a fantastic response to the competition,” Eric Meek of Marlow Camera Club, one of the judges, said. “It was extremely difficult to judge, due to the quality of the entries. These photos demonstrate both the variety and beauty of the wildlife in and around Marlow, and the photographic skills of all of the entrants.”

Exhibition Sat 16th and Sun 16th Oct

The public will also have the opportunity to see the winning photos and choose their favourite. On Saturday 16th and Sunday 17th Oct, at All Saints Church Hall in Marlow, Wild Marlow will exhibit the twelve photos to be featured in the calendar, along with another twelve additional entries deemed to be of a high standard. The People’s Vote – the photo most popular with the public – will also feature in the Wild Marlow calendar.

  • Sat 16th Oct – 10am – 6pm
  • Sun 17th Oct – 12pm – 4pm
