Very sad news from the Marlow Cheese Company

| |

Today we were told by our great friends at The Marlow Cheese Company that co-founder and cheesemaker Lynda Hill has sadly lost her battle with cancer. We are deeply saddened by the news, and our thoughts are with Lynda’s family.

Lynda loved the local community and wanted to serve it in any way she could. At MyMarlow we have known Lynda since the very start of the Marlow Cheese Company, but before then she had worked elsewhere locally including being Postmistress at Hurley post office, working at Marlow Bottom pharmacy and at Marks & Spencer Marlow.

Lynda’s husband James passed us this message to share:

“It is with a sad and heavy heart we find ourselves writing this – sadly Lynda passed away last night after her long battle with cancer. We will remember her as a loving wife and a devoted loving mum, but also as a brilliant Cheesemaker, and we just wanted to share this sad news with all her friends, fellow cheesemakers, colleagues and the amazing followers who have supported Lynda during her short but amazing cheesemaking journey whilst dealing with this dreadful unforgiving disease.

One of Lynda’s last wishes was to enter her gorgeous cheeses at the artisan cheese awards, with some great support we were able to send them on Lynda’s behalf…hopefully her legacy will carry on.

With all our love  James and Chloe”
