Marlow Community Against Cancer – Charity Calendar

| |

This August will see Marlow Community Against Cancer undertake their charity calendar photo shoot with the amazing internationally renowned British photographer, Rankin.

Set up by Chris & Helen Hoyle in response to Chris’s stage 4 lung cancer diagnosis, Chris wanted to do something to help support the amazing research that is being undertaken every day to ensure cancer treatment keeps pushing boundaries.

What also struck Chris at the start of his journey, was just how many people in his own network and around Marlow that have been impacted by Cancer.  Whether facing cancer themselves or supporting someone who has cancer in some way.

And so Community against Cancer was born:

  • Something to create awareness and raise funds.
  • Something that celebrates the people and community groups in Marlow.
  • Something that faces cancer head on, without looking away, but with dignity and a bit of humour.
  • Something that says, we’re still here, and we’re fighting back.
  • Something that allows a Community response and for individuals to get involved for their own reasons.

Ways to support:

Follow their social pages:

Buy a calendar when it comes out!

They are also looking for support from local celebrities to help spread the word through their social channels (or even get involved with the calendar), if any companies are able donate to a charity raffle, slient auction, or sponsorship, or if there is something you think you could help this amazing charity initative, please get in touch at: info@marlowcalendar.co.uk

There are also plans for a Gallery Opening night and Charity Ball to be held in Marlow in the coming months as the Calendar goes on sale – shout if you can help!

Here at MyMarlow we will be staying in touch and bringing you all the updates
