More than 100 people have taken part in a special calendar photoshoot organised by Marlow Community Against Cancer. The calendar, inspired by the “Calendar Girls” will feature local community groups stripping off, with props appropriately placed to just about protect the participants’ modesty!
Participants included Marlow Town Band, Marlow FM, Glee Club, Round Table, Marlow Rowing Club, Marlow Football Club and many more groups and individuals. Make-up and hair services were provided by Bucks New Uni students.

The photos shared below are fully clothed “behind the scenes” shots of rehearsals taken by Jason Clark. You will have to wait for the full reveal of the actual, somewhat less dressed photos, which were taken by Anthony Mark Saul during the day long photo session which had a real party atmosphere.
Marlow Community Against Cancer was launched by Chris and Helen Hoyle after Chris was diagnosed with stage four cancer in 2025. The couple hope to develop it into something that provides meaningful support for people and families affected by cancer.
“What an incredible experience bringing together over 100 amazing people for our calendar shoot,” said Chris and Helen. “We had wonderful Marlow community groups, as well as individuals from across our community, all coming together to support something we truly believe in.”
The couple say the photoshoot is only the beginning. Plans also include a launch event, the premiere of a film made during the shoot and the unveiling of the finished calendar photographs.
Chris and Helen hope to exhibit the images at locations around Marlow. Other possible events and activities include a silent auction, a raffle and perhaps even a ball.
The calendar is expected to go on sale in October through the project’s website, and the organisers would also like it to be stocked by local shops.
They are inviting local people and businesses to get involved by helping to host an exhibition, selling calendars, providing sponsorship or supporting the initiative in other ways.
“Marlow Community Against Cancer is for our community, by our community,” Chris and Helen said. “Please like and follow our Instagram and Facebook pages and come on this journey with us. There’s lots more to come! And finally… thank you, Marlow. You really are amazing!”
