It’s here! Marlow Town Regatta weekend! We have provided a handy summary of the weekend below, starting off with some basics, knowing that not everyone has lived in Marlow for years and knows what is going on! Then we have full schedules of the various entertainments on offer, food and drink offerings and so on….

Beginners Guide

Saturday is the traditional rowing regatta.  Proper rowing races, entry badge required to get into the enclosure , dress code applies.  The event attracts rowers and fans of the racing, plus plenty of people who have no interest in watching the racing! Luckily, everyone is catered for – with entertainment on the Marlow FM stage, plenty of food and drink options, and the ability to prebook allocated picnic pitches, perfectly sized for a gazebo. Subject to availability, badges can be purchased on the day are more expensive so it’s worth booking in advance.

Sunday is the “Festival Day”, and encompasses a variety of things.  Firstly, unlike Saturday – entry is FREE. On the river you can watch the exciting canoe and dragon boat races, and elsewhere there are all sort of entertainments and activities in the display arena, and of course food and drink options. Basically, all manner of family fun! In the evening there will be a free screening of Garsington Opera’s Cosi fan tutte on the big screen
