Christmas is on its way, and if you are wondering what you are going to do during those long festive evenings then Giggling Squid has got the perfect plans for you!
The new Christmas menu from Giggling Squid is available from 24th November-26th December.
We got an advance tasting of the dinner menu (£24.95 or £29.95 for 3 courses) . For starters we tried the new Tom Zap beef shin – tender, slow cooked and gorgeous, and the old favourite of Salt and Pepper Squid. I’m afraid we find it impossible to visit without having this included in the meal!!
Mains were Lamb Shank Massaman curry, which had such tender lamb falling off the bone – a real melt in the mouth treat. We also had the Tropical Jungle Curry which certainly packed a punch and left us reaching for a festive glass of bubbles!
Dessert time! I wouldn’t always go for a dessert after a Thai meal, but was so glad I tried the Caramelised Mango Cake …… a perfect end to the meal!
Also available at lunchtime are a variety of tapas sets (£18.95) such as ‘The Festive Squid’, a mix of Tom Kha Chicken Soup, Duck Spring Rolls, Pork Belly Thai Style and Jasmine Rice.
