Special wine events at Tom Kerridge’s “The Shed”

| |

The Shed is an small private dining space set up by Tom Kerridge and his team at The Hand & Flowers, and is situated on West Street, just opposite Tom’s other Marlow venue The Coach.

Hands up if you like fine wine and great food…

During May, The Shed will be celebrating two highly respected independent wine producers, La Stoppa from Italy and UK based, Ridgeview, with two tasting events dedicated to these vineyards. Individual wines will be discussed by the wine grower and served alongside a carefully paired menu.

Each event will be hosted by the wine producer who will present a selection of wines, outlining their character, background and heritage. The food will be chosen to complement each wine, and will be prepared in front of the guests by one of the senior chefs from The Hand and Flowers.

Details of the events are:

Friday Dinner – 12th May – La Stoppa

The La Stoppa estate was founded over a century ago and extends over 58 hectare, 28 of which consists of forest and 30 planted exclusively with vines. The vineyards are certified organic, carrying out all vineyard processes by hand to ensure greater control and a higher quality of grapes. Naturally low yields and poor soil together with high quality of grapes create wonderfully characteristic wines reflecting their origin in the vineyards.

Saturday Lunch – 13th May – Ridgeview

Ridgeview is a second-generation family company dedicated to the production of the highest quality English sparkling wine. With their wines being served at state banquets at Buckingham Palace and now the official sparkling wine provider for No.10 Downing Street. Nestled at the foot of the picturesque South Downs in Ditchling, Sussex, the vineyards and winery were chosen for their geology and cool climate conditions.

Price: £125 per person inclusive of VAT – includes  all food and wine. The Shed can accommodate up to eight people for each event.
