Sun shines on Mayor’s golf day

| |

At Harleyford Golf Club on 25th April, 19 teams gathered to raise funds for the Mayor’s charity, Thames Hospice, and to compete for the coveted Mayor’s Cup.  Despite forecasts of snow, the sun shone and the golfers had a great day.

The overall winners of the Mayor’s Cup were Snowie’s Sprinters – Christopher Snow, Chris Toone, John Dixon and Charles Sandison. Runners-up were the Fab Four: Neil Riddoch, Mark Abbas, Tony Hurnball and Steve Middleton. There were only four points between the two teams.

The Overall Individual Winner for the men was Mark Abbas and Overall Winner for ladies was Helen Gyselynch.

Although all the money has not yet been received, it is believed the day raised around £3,000 for Thames Hospice.
