Poggenpohl Kitchens has signed a new 10-year lease at 75 High Street in Marlow (where the Sofa.com pop-up used to be, next to Cafe Copia)

Founded in Germany in 1892, Poggenpohl is the oldest kitchen brand in the world. The information below is from the press release:

For over 125 years, Poggenhpohl has followed its founder and namesake’s mission to ‘improve the kitchen’ and turn it into the heart of the home. Technical expertise, high quality materials and meticulous craftsmanship have led to a pioneering history including many firsts, such as ergonomic work-top heights and the development of the kitchen island.

Poggenpohl Marlow will be the brand’s eighth factory-owned retail studio in the UK, where skilled designers share the company’s values and translate their customer’s visions into reality.

Phillip Winter, UK Sales and Marketing Director at Poggenpohl Kitchens, said: “We are delighted to have secured a prime retail space in Marlow. Over the coming months we will transform the shop into an inspirational design studio worthy of the name Poggenpohl. Marlow was an obvious choice for us. It has a great sense of community, with many design conscious residents who take great pride in their homes. We are very much looking forward to helping some of them make great kitchen decisions.’

Commenting on the new lease, Tamra Booth, managing director of Sorbon Estates, says: “The name Poggenpohl is renowned worldwide in kitchen design, and we’re thrilled to be facilitating their expansion in the UK with this new studio on Marlow High Street. The vibrancy and sophistication of this innovative company reflects the individuality of Marlow’s own high street and we are sure they will be a welcome addition to the town.”
