The Marlow Dragon Boat Festival – still time to enter!

The Marlow Dragon Boat Festival takes place on Sunday 16th June and is part of The Marlow Town Regatta and Festival, now in it’s 19th year.  
 
The Dragon Boat Festival is open to everyone – and entries for the Festival close on Sunday 9th June (Enter via website
 
Teams can consist of colleagues, friends or family! Teams take part in heats before going through to the finals, each team will take part in at least 3 races. It’s not just Dragon Boat Racing taking place on the day. There is free family entertainment all day, a dog show, bake off competition and craft, food and drink stalls. It’s a great day out for all involved, whether in the dragon boat or spectating on dry land! And this year the festival falls on Father’s Day, a fun way to spend the day with your family.

Each team can consist of up to 15 members, with 10 paddlers and 1 drummer in the boat at any one time. Don’t worry about the steering as Team Activity Group supply the helms. There are 3 types of teams – Open teams can consist of any ratio of male and/or female paddlers, Ladies teams are female paddlers and drummers only, Junior teams are any ratio of male and/or female paddlers between the age of 12-18 years old. The minimum age for Open and Ladies teams is 8 years old.
