Rebellion holds their Charity Open Weekend every 2 years, serving up drinks for FREE, but taking donations throughout the day – it is always a huge fundraiser for Scannappeal.
This year we attended on Sunday, the more relaxed of the two days, in terms of visitor numbers. There was a selection of six beers to choose from (for free!) as well as other drinks available to purchase from the shop. Shortly after we arrived, the first of the three bands started which got the gathering crowd into the spirit of things – we were entertained by The Sidemen, Reeve and Soundforce .
As well as the fine beer selection, the barbecue menu had a great selection including vegetarian and vegan options.
MyMarlow spoke to Tim, one of the co-owners of Rebellion Brewery: “It’s been a fantastic weekend- we’ve had the weather, we’ve had loads of people down here, the bands have been excellent, all the staff have worked like crazy. Most importantly, I think we’ve raised over sixty thousand pounds, I don’t know the final figure yet – I couldn’t be happier with it.”
Well done Rebellion Beer Co – such a well organised event, loads of fun, and raising an enormous amount for charity. Bravo!
