*REVIEW* Cafe Globe do Saturday brunch

| | ,

It’s a hard job but someone’s got to do it! We announced last month that Cafe Globe are now open for brunch on Saturdays, and for research purposes we felt we had to try their menu.

If you’ve never been down that way before, you may be surprised to find a good-looking, modern cafe in the middle of Globe Business Park. It’s already extremely popular with their office clientele during the week, but since 15 June they also open their doors to Saturday customers between 8am and 2.30pm.

We enjoyed some great coffee and a Blueberry Thrill smoothie (raspberry, blueberry, banana & flax seeds). The smoothie and summer drinks selection is very tempting; they even serve Mimosas and a signtature boozy Bloody Mary with sweet bacon and prawn with vodka and a chili kick!

Food-wise we had Eggs Royale (English muffins, poached eggs, smoked salmon, hollandaise and dill), Full English (sausage, eggs, bacon, hash brown, field mushroom, roasted tomato, black pudding and toast), and The Vegan (avocado, roasted tomato, spinach, field mushrooms, Globe beans, tender stem broccoli and toast). Portions are generous and the presentation is lovely too.

There is outside seating and the whole area is practically traffic-free during the weekend, so although only assistance dogs are allowed inside, many dog walkers, cyclists and runners / hikers enjoy a refreshment stop here at the outside tables. It’s positioned just 2 minutes walk from Marlow train station and 5 minutes further to the Thames at Gossmore or to Marlow High Street.

MyMarlow Verdict: We recommend Cafe Globe if you want a chilled out, peaceful Saturday brunch or pitstop. The decor is cool, the coffee is great, the menu is interesting and the food itself is delicious.
