Good luck to Marlow’s newest eating and drinking spot! Beccafico opens up today opposite Satollo in Liston Court, where Chesca used to be.
It is in “soft opening mode” for now, offering a choice of two fixed tasting plates , one vegetarian and one not – including a glass of prosecco for £10. From Friday the full menu will be served.
We originally reported on the planned opening back in July (read it here), where we revealed that it would be run by Alessandra Cesaroni, part of the team behind Satollo. “We are so excited to be bringing a new Italian food concept to Marlow – it really will be something different …… Rather than just a ‘restaurant’ we will be closer to a Cicchetteria, a typical northern Italian place that serves smaller food portions. Traditionally, cicchetti are served as finger food but our concept is to have properly cooked dishes, but in a smaller version.”
Alessandra also told us at the time “We will be a buzzing bar too, serving classic and original cocktails.”
We were very impressed by the decor, ambience and food we sampled and can’t wait to sample the full menu ASAP! We wish Alessandra and the team all the best!
