Mint Velvet’s little sister Mintie arrives on the High Street

Mintie, the children’s range from Mint Velvet has opened on Marlow High Street. Mint Velvet itself has been on Marlow High Street since 2011, the third in the brand’s collection of UK stores.

Opening at 28 High Street on a pop-up basis, Mintie will sell a range of clothing and accessories for girls aged three to twelve. Mintie was successfully launched online and in selected locations in September last year and this new store in Marlow will be its second standalone pop-up since inception.

28 High Street forms part of a three unit scheme to accommodate the expansion of The White Company at 30 High St.

Liz Houghton OBE, Co-founder of Mint Velvet said: “Marlow is a very special town for Mint Velvet as our head office is based up the road in High Wycombe. As someone who lives locally, I know the Marlow demographic extremely well and we quite often use the store to test new ranges. So when this opportunity with Sorbon came up to test our Mintie concept in Marlow, we were delighted. I couldn’t be more excited to get the shop open, we will be looking to host regular events at the store and look forward to welcoming everyone along.”

Ed Davidson, Leasing Manager at Sorbon Estates said: “Mint Velvet is an integral part of the diverse High St, and they continue to perform strongly both at a business level as well as at the Marlow store specifically. So, when they came to us with this idea for expanding their offer in Marlow, we were really keen to facilitate it. Doing this kind of deal with this kind of retailer is a demonstration of our vision for Marlow. We want to work both with our existing tenants and new tenants alike to cultivate a diverse and interesting retail mix in the town and we will adopt an open mind towards doing so. “
