Marlow Covid-19 Vaccination Service on Globe Park administered its first vaccines on Sat 23rd Jan! This pharmacy led site is one of two services running for Marlow – the other being set up by Marlow Medical Group, and administered from Adams Park (Wycombe Wanderers Football club). Marlow area residents are lucky to have two sites, and as a reminder- if invited to either clinic, take up the invite!

Ian Cameron was the first person to be vaccinated at Marlow Covid-19 Vaccination Service, having booked his appointment online and was given the first slot available. “I normally hate injections”, said Ian “but I didn’t feel a thing. I didn’t even know I’d had my jab! The whole set up was so impressive. The team are so professional and friendly.”

The Marlow Covid-19 Vaccination Service – Pharmacy is located at Lunar House, Globe Park, Marlow. Their Facebook page at https://www.facebook.com/marlowcovid19/ provides more information and regular updates

WHO ARE WE?

Marlow Covid-19 Vaccination Service – Pharmacy is one of many NHS vaccination sites that are opening in the area. Vaccinations will start from our site in Globe Park, Marlow on SATURDAY 23RD JANUARY 2021 from 8am. The full address is Lunar House, Fieldhouse Lane, Globe Park, Marlow SL7 1LW. The clinic opening hours are 8am-8pm every day including bank holidays.

HOW DO I BOOK?

Vaccination appointments are managed nationally by the NHS using the National Booking Service. Patients in priority groups will be contacted to book their appointment first. When you are contacted, you will be able to choose which site to attend. Please do not contact us directly to set up an appointment. There are also NO walk-in appointments.

WHAT TO EXPECT
Our vaccinators are trained Healthcare professionals (ie. Doctors, pharmacists, nurses or other healthcare professionals) and have to follow strict protocols and vaccine specific training to be in a position to deliver it safely.

All COVID vaccination centres use the same system to record vaccinations in order to report to the NHS. Once you have received the vaccine, your patient records will be updated and your GP surgery will be notified automatically.

When you book your first appointment, you will automatically be booked for your follow-up appointment 12 weeks later. It is essential to attend both appointments in order to maximise your immunity.
It is also important that once you have received the vaccine, you continue to follow government guidance on social distancing and wearing a mask as well as the additional measures in place where you live.
