Laurents deli opens today

| | ,

MyMarlow revealed in December last year the exciting news that a new food store was coming to town. Today “Laurents” cafe and deli has opened at 37 High Street, where Santander used to be.

We popped in to check it out, and welcome owner Xavier Laurent and his team.

Xavier, originally from the South West of France, told us of his passion for food and wine, and together with his Italian wife, how they were inspired by the food of both their home countries to open their first shop. They now operate 3 delis in London, and the couple know this area well, so Marlow was an obvious first choice outside London.

There is a massive range on offer – fruit and veg, bread, filled wraps etc, cheeses, patisserie, wine and fresh coffee among the selection, and opens at 7am – suiting us early birds! Seating at the back is provided if you want to eat or drink your purchases there – all very laid back.

We welcome Laurents to town, and wish them all the best.
