Marlow Mayor raises funds for Thames Hospice

| |

Mayor Richard Scott has been fundraising for Thames Hospice during his Mayoral year.

CEO of Thames Hospice, Debbie Raven, attended a meeting before the Town Council on Tuesday, 2nd August, to be presented with a cheque for £2,000 by the Mayor.  She gave a short talk about the very varied work of the Thames Hospice before the presentation.

“I’m delighted to be able to support Thames Hospice with this donation,” Mayor Scott said. “Recently we sadly lost our colleague, ex-Councillor Bob Johnson, who died in July after a long illness. He was helped by Thames Hospice so this presentation is particularly appropriate.”

The Hospice offers world-class palliative and end-of-life care and support to people aged 16 years and over across East Berkshire and South Buckinghamshire.
