Marlow Town Regatta Classic Vehicles Display – 10th June

| |

The Marlow Town Regatta and Festival are planning a new attraction for the Saturday 10th June – a display of classic cars and motorcycles in the “Marlow Regatta Classic Paddock”, and read on to see how could be involved if you own a classic!

Vehicles will enter the paddock though a Formula one style arch provided by the MV Agusta Owners Club GB.

One of the most impressive classic cars offered is a Jaguar ‘D’ type, created as a logical progression of the XK120C, or C-Type. After an eighteen month development period, the D-Type was launched and intended to assault the 1954 Le Mans. It won the event three years in a row and became Jaguar’s most successful race car.

In addition we have a stunning Aston Martin DBR1 ASM and a Lancia Fulvia Zageto. The whole event is being sponsored by
Bentley who hope to bring a Bentley Continental GT and a Bentayga.

Not to be out staged, on the motorcycle front we will have a MV Agusta 750S (how many of these have you seen before!!) and a BMW R90S. Other bikes promised include an award winning Brough Superior, Laverda Jotas, Kawasaki 500 H1, BSA Goldstar Spitfire Mk 3, Moto Guzzi Californian, Harley Davidson, BSA C15 SS80 and a MV Britale RR

Despite this impressive lineup of vehicles we would like some more – if you have a classic car or motorcycle you would like to bring along please contact us.

In return you will get 2 free tickets for the riverside enclosure each plus a chance to win a prize for best car or motorcycle. A prize will also be given to the best dressed vintage owner. Afternoon tea will also be provided.

Please note entry is by invitation only so if you would like to come along please contact Julian Coster at classicdisplay@marlowtownregatta.org
