Pub in the Park sold to owners of Rewind Festival

The company that created “Pub in the Park” has announced that the Marlow event has been sold to Rewind Festival Limited, but the good news is that of course PITP Marlow will continue!

MyMarlow followers will know that we have been linked with the event since year one, so we had a chat with Marlow resident Chris Hughes, who created PITP.

We asked what the sale would mean for PITP, and he told us “This is a great deal for the people of Marlow. It’s been a tough year for festivals and this deal  secures the future of this fabulous event in our wonderful town.”

We also asked Chris how he felt about moving on from the event he founded in his home town:

“I am very proud of my team that built it and those that worked hard this summer to secure this deal. We all built something very special for the town and it deserves everyone’s support. I hope the whole town will get fully behind the new owners. Of the dozens of events I’ve created around the world this is undoubtedly one of my favourites. I look forward to supporting it in any way I can and to being a visitor !”

Here’s the Official Announcement from Pub in the Park Festivals:

“We are pleased to announce that Pub in the Park Festivals Limited has completed the sale of Pub in the Park Marlow.

The new owner is Rewind Festival Limited the company behind Rewind Festival Henley and a string of other national and international events and is backed by the world’s largest festival business Live Nation

By combining the key management teams of Rewind and Pub in the Park we are confident the event will retain it’s unique feel and experience and will continue to benefit from a deep knowledge of the local area.”

Many thanks to Chris and the whole team for what you have brought to Marlow, long may PITP continue!
