Night-time closure of Marlow Bridge 5th to 10th January

| |

From 5 January to 10 January 2026 – Marlow Bridge will be closed from 8pm to 6am each night to all vehicles and pedestrians.

This is so to enable safe installation of monitoring equipment on the bridge to monitor its behaviour when being lifted and lowered over the coming months.

The 12 bearings that support the bridge deck need to be replaced, and to do so the bridge needs to be lifted a very small amount. This lifting won’t be noticeable, but the machinery needed to do this work will be on site and clearly visible.

This is all part of a wider programme of restoration and improvements to Marlow Bridge, full details are here: https://www.buckinghamshire.gov.uk/parking-roads-and-transport/road-projects/view-road-projects-in-development/major-maintenance-works-marlow-bridge/
