This week a mini pop-up art gallery appeared on Marlow High Street – inside the old phone boxes! Holly Anastasia is the local artist, and it is part of a new scheme from the Town Council to make use of the disused boxes for community displays.
Mayor Muryel Boulay told MyMarlow “The Town Council is very pleased to be opening the High Street Phone Boxes with a great young local artist, and we look forward to many other local organisations making use of this prominent and unique display opportunity”
Anyone interested should reach out to the Council, details are on their website – https://www.marlow-tc.gov.uk/high-street-kiosk-hire/
The kiosks are intended primarily for:
- Community displays and exhibitions.
- Local information and awareness initiatives.
- Occasional pop-up events.
- In some cases, business or commercial use may be permitted at the Council’s discretion
We think it’s a great way to make use of these long disused, but iconic features on Marlow High Street! 😊
