Local pottery business, Keeeps, has opened its first shop & pottery studio on Marlow High Street today, Thursday, 26th May 2022.
The ribbon was cut at 11am, and customers are invited to pop in for a glass of celebratory fizz and a tour of the studio to watch some pottery in action, as well as browse the shop.
Keeeps will be taking up residence of all three floors of the White House, based at 72, Marlow High Street (which was previously Jack Wills). The store is a unique combination of a curated pottery shop as well as a fully kitted out studio allowing visitors the opportunity to ‘get their hands dirty’ and engage in a true pottery experience.
For the rest of the week there will be behind-the-scenes tours of the renovated White House building , and pottery demos – a chance to see the studio and watch how the pottery is created.
As well as celebrating British pottery with a range of kitchenware, homeware and gift items, there will be pottery classes to suit all ages and abilities with the opportunity to learn new skills, hone your craft or to just have fun with friends. Local potters will be acting as tutors for the sessions and in the coming months there will also be talks, demonstrations and displays as well as pottery parties.
The online booking system for classes and membership can be found online at www.keeeps.co.uk. Pottery classes on offer range from a Clay Taster Course to a 6 week Wheel Throwing Course. There is also a Clay taster for kids, private parties and even bespoke private lessons.
