On Thursday 16th October, Marlow Town Council held its first Community Forum, welcoming representatives from local Community Interest Companies (CICs), non-profit organisations, community groups, and churches to come together, network, and share the challenges and projects that matter most to them.
The event was a great success, with 66 people in attendance, reflecting the strength and diversity of community spirit across the town. The forum provided an opportunity for local organisations to connect, exchange ideas, and identify ways to collaborate in addressing community needs and supporting residents.
The Mayor of Marlow Town Council, Cllr Muryel Boulay expressed gratitude and enthusiasm for the turnout and the positive discussions that took place:
“It was inspiring to see so many dedicated organisations represented in one room, all committed to making a difference in our community. The passion, energy, and collaboration on display truly highlight what makes our town special. We are incredibly proud to support the people and groups who go above and beyond every day to help others.”
The council plans to build on the success of this first forum by making it a regular event. The next Community Forum will continue to nurture these vital relationships, ensuring that local voices are heard and that partnership working remains at the heart of the town’s community strategy.
