The George and Dragon - our review

The George and Dragon (website) Extensively refurbished in Aug 2008, and is a restaurant as much as a pub (see entry in our restaurant section). Going there on a Friday night we were overwhelmed by the very young average age of clientele, not sure if this is normal, so until we revisit we will rely on your comments..... The decor is really lovely, however the service was dreadfully slow, I have eaten there once but wanted to give them a second chance; we were seated at a table and left for 10 mins before we gave an order for drinks, after another 10 mins we got an apology for the lateness, but still no drinks! So we left and went for a curry! Rating:

'I think the food is fantastic here. Good menu, nice atmosphere. Friendly staff. Only thing is they do sometimes seem a bit understaffed so little delay on getting food out. But its a lovely place to go when the weather is nice and you have the park for the kids just across the road Rating:
