Local band Peerless Pirates have lined up a gig on Friday 9th of March at The Cross Keys in Marlow.
The band describe their music as “a marriage of energetic, up tempo, guitar driven songs with lyrics inspired by the everyday tinged with splashes of history and naughtiness.”
One of the group – Cliff Adams lives in Marlow, the other members hail from Maindenhead and elsewhere in the home counties. According to Cliff “We’ve been really encouraged by the positive reaction to our songs and gigs so far. ”
The pirate based name is from a 10 pin bowling team that Cliff’s late father was a member of in the 60s. Again, according to Cliff “The pirate ‘theme’ was a natural progression after the name was put in place but it doesn’t permeate everything we do…just most of it. Anyway, who doesn’t like a little bit of Pirate in their lives?”
The band played at last years Marlow Regatta, and they have also played live acoustic slots on local radio, including BBC and our very own Marlow FM.
