Spotlight on: Marlow Ladies Circle- a fun social group!

Marlow Ladies Circle – What is it?

Quite simply it is a group of us who get together a couple of Mondays a month for social events. This can be anything from a meal or drinks locally, to trying out new things. Some of the activities we have done in recent years include, boating at Longridge, Pamper evenings, Chocolate Fountain nights, Ghost Walk, Style evenings. There is no commitment to turn up every time we meet as we recognise kids, husbands, work etc. do get in the way, but members come as often as they can.

At the same time as being a great way to meet people and have fun we do try and raise money for local charities, and we are lucky enough to run the PIMMS tent at Marlow Regatta, which is a great fun way to raise money. Other fundraising activities include running a cake stall at the May Fair and supporting Round Table at the Santa Float. Again none of this is very time consuming.

Is Circle for you, well it is a great way to

  • Meet new people
  • Have a bit of “me time”
  • Feel part of the community of Marlow
  • Raise money for great causes

What we are not: A club that you have to be asked to join, or have a secret handshake, if you like us… you just join. Our only restriction is you need to be under 45 years of age.

Does it cost a lot? No, we do sometimes do more expensive outings, but if that is the case we tend to do cheaper things for the next meetings. On average it costs £15 a month.

Is it s big time commitment? No, people just come when they can. Our fundraising activities are around 3 over the course of the year.

Circle in itself is a national organisation and as such we are part of a much wider group. If you want more info on the national organisation visit  www.ladiescircle.co.uk/marlow or our Facebook page

  1. Hello,

Would your group members like to learn something fun and unique with me? I am a qualified shoe designer based in the North West of England, and customise shoes to order, specialising in bridal footwear.

What I can offer you, are my new fun and exciting craft workshops, for private party bookings for girls get togethers. This is a unique opportunity to discover top tips and design techniques with an experienced shoe designer on how to customize any style of shoes you would like to add crystals to. I have helped people customise flat sandals, towering 6 inch heel platforms, flip flops, crocs, Ugg boots, Converse pumps, trainers, baby shoes and bridal shoes. Any style of shoes are okay, in any material or colour too. They can be new shoes you want to customise for yourself, or give away as a present to someone special.

You can make a pair of shoes truly unique and individual to you. Its also a great way to make worn out old heels look brand new and hide any scuffs or marks. For those who may not be a big shoes fan, I can show them how to bling up a bag or purse, or any accessory or household item which is more suitable to them. 1000’s of colourful crystals in various sizes are provided and all materials needed are all part of the package. I can travel to your venue or find a luxury hotel to hold the party for you, and have held parties from York to Bournemouth, and all the places in between.

I am proud to say I have great reviews on my website http://www.nickyrox.co.uk which I would love you to read. Do you think this is something which might appeal to your ladies as an activity to enjoy one evening?

My email is info@nickyrox.co.uk, and I can be reached on my mobile 07582 245 247. I travel nationwide to teach parties so all locations are considered and quoted for individually.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

    Kind regards
    Nicky Rox, BA (Hons.)
