And the new restaurant on Pachangas old site is uncovered…

| |

Since popular Mexican restaurant Pachangas closed 2 years ago, the site has remained empty. Well….opening in September 2013, after a  £250,000 refurbishment will be “Giggling Squid“!

It is part of a small chain of Thai restaurants,  the first opening in 2009 in Hove,  and has aims to become the first national Thai chain – targeting 80 restaurants over the next 7 years.

There is a Giggling Squid in Henley, which has some impressive reviews on Trip Advisor, and is rated 4/5. Henley was site number 5 in the chain, and Marlow will take it to 7.

The website for the upcoming Marlow Giggling Squid declares “Giggling Squid is a Thai food sensation. The simple, rustic , fresh food of Thailand. From street food to coastal specialities. Eat at Giggling Squid for startling flavours, amazing colours, and original textures.”

Their website also includes links to their menu. Its signature dish of “giggling squid” comprises steamed baby squid filled with minced chicken, squid and herbs with basil and chilli.

It will be interesting to see how it compares to our other Thai restaurant “Thai Square”, just along the road. We look forward to bringing you the full review!!
