Be one of 2000 Santas to take to the streets of Marlow!
Run it, walk it, push it or just watch, because Santa is coming to Marlow on 1st December 2013. Santa Clause, Mummy Clause and Santa’s little helpers young and old will all be out running for charity. With the 2013 website having launched on the 10th of September, now is the time to get your entry in and start getting sponsorship.
Sir Steve Redgrave will start the great annual Rotary Santa’s Fun Run which starts and finishes at Higginson Park, Marlow on Sunday 1st December, start time 10am. Despite the name, running is not essential. You can walk, hop, ski, jump or even push the 5km around the streets of Marlow. However you do it, you have the opportunity to get up early, hone your fitness at the fun warm up, meet up with friends and generally enjoy yourselves.
Last year Santa’s Fun Run raised over £23,000 which was distributed to several charities including ‘Guide Dogs for the Blind’. Runners can designate half of their sponsorship to the charity of their choice if they so choose.
Cost: £14 for adults, £10 for 12 to 17 year olds, £6 for children. Every runner gets a Santa suit or a childs’ Santa T-shirt and is awarded a medaland a goodies at the finishing line.
This year the leading beneficiary will be South Bucks Hospice, so get behind them by supporting this worthwhile event and start collecting your sponsorship money as soon as possible!
