On Thursday 19th December was the town councils “Carols on the Causeway” event for 2013, when the town meets up around our Christmas tree to really ramp up the festive spirit with a good old sing song!
Details of this years event can be found in our preview article, but in a nutshell there was an earlier event for school children including a contest for who had made the bast lanterns – then the main event at 7pm with the town band.
The mayor did a grand job of leading the singing over her microphone with occasional help from anyone standing nearby! 🙂
