Marlow Choral Society presents Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle

| | ,

Marlow Choral Society presents Rossini’s Petite Messe Solennelle on Saturday 10th May at 7.30 pm, at All Saints Church, The Causeway, Marlow, SL7 2AA.

Rossini’s setting of the Mass in his own inimitable style – described by the composer himself as the last of his ‘sins of old age’ – belies its title, being neither small nor solemn. Lively and joyous, full of memorable tunes, wit and vitality – as befits a composer best known for writing operas, including The Barber of Seville.

With Marco Lemme, the Organ Scholar at All Saints’ Marlow, on Harmonium; and with Ian Tindale on Piano. Also featuring Hannah Sanderson (Soprano), Rachael Cox (Mezzo-Soprano), Gyula Rab (Tenor) and Timothy Nelson (Baritone).

Tickets at £12 are available from Runners’ Retreat in West Street, Marlow; Marlow Information Centre; phone 01628 471015; online at www.marlowchoralsociety.org.uk/ContactUs; and at the door on the night, until sold out.
